Life insurance

If your income stopped tomorrow, what would change for them?

Life insurance replaces the paycheck your family counts on. It pays the mortgage, keeps the kids in school and buys them time to decide what comes next.

This usually matters most if…

Someone depends on your paycheck

A partner, children, a parent

You carry a mortgage or debt

It doesn’t go away with you

You are self-employed

No employer coverage behind you

You want to leave something behind

Final expenses or an inheritance

Three ways to do it

Which one fits depends on your budget and on how long you need the coverage to last.

Term life

Coverage for a set number of years. The most protection for the lowest monthly cost.

Whole life

Coverage that lasts your whole life and builds cash value you can borrow against.

Product features and availability vary by insurance carrier and state. Cash value growth is not guaranteed in index-linked products. Policy terms, charges, limits, exclusions, and conditions apply. Guarantees are backed by the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company.

Life insurance questions

Do I need a medical exam?

Not always. Several carriers offer simplified issue policies where you answer health questions instead of taking an exam. Coverage amounts are lower and the price is higher, so we compare both.

Is the coverage from my job enough?

It usually ends when the job ends, and it is often one or two times your salary. We look at what you already have before suggesting anything.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Most policies have a grace period, normally around 30 days. After that the policy can lapse, and some plans let you reinstate it. We walk you through the specific terms before you sign.

Can I get covered if I have a health condition?

Often yes, at a different rate or with a different product. This is exactly where comparing carriers matters, because each one underwrites differently.

Do I need a Social Security number to apply?

Requirements vary by carrier and product. Eligibility, underwriting requirements, available benefits and final approval are determined by the insurance carrier and are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policy.
